(NH4)3YCl6 decomposes in first step to the solid phase NH4Y2Cl7 (s) and gaseous NH3(g) and HCl(g). NH4Y2Cl7(g) decomposes in a second step to YCl3, NH3 and HCl. The decomposition-pressure-functions are given and fromthis the enthalpies of formation and standard entropies of the phases a re derived.
