General Description

1-Bromo-2-Methoxy-4-(trifluoromethoxy)benzene, also known as Galcanezumab, is an organic compound with the molecular formula C8H6BrF3O2. It is a benzene derivative with a bromine atom substituent at the 1 position, a methoxy group at the 2 position, and a trifluoromethoxy group at the 4 position. 1-broMo-2-Methoxy-4-(trifluoroMethoxy)benzene is used in the pharmaceutical industry as a medication for the prevention of migraine headaches in adults. It works by blocking the activity of calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP), which is involved in the transmission of pain signals. Galcanezumab is available as a solution for injection under the brand name Emgality and has been approved for use in various countries around the world.
