Investigating chelating sulfonamides and their use in metalloproteinase inhibitors
Tanakit, Alisa,Rouffet, Matthieu,Martin, David P.,Cohen, Seth M.
experimental part, p. 6507 - 6515 (2012/09/21)
Matrix metalloproteinase inhibitors (MMPi) utilize zinc-binding groups (ZBGs) to chelate the catalytic Zn(ii) ion resulting in enzyme inhibition. Adapting findings from the literature of Zn(ii) ion sensors, we previously reported chelating sulfonamide inh
Synthesis and biological evaluation of novel heterocyclic quinones as inhibitors of the dual specificity protein phosphatase CDC25C
Lavergne, Olivier,Fernandes, Anne-Cecile,Brehu, Laetitia,Sidhu, Alban,Brezak, Marie-Christine,Prevost, Gregoire,Ducommun, Bernard,Contour-Galcera, Marie-Odile
, p. 171 - 175 (2007/10/03)
A focused set of heterocyclic quinones based on the benzothiazole, benzoxazole, benzimidazole, indazole and isoindole was prepared and screened with respect to the inhibition of the phosphatase activity of CDC25C. Benzoxazole- and benzothiazole-diones wer
A simple and efficient one step synthesis of benzoxazoles and benzimidazoles from carboxylic acids
Wang, Ying,Sarris, Kathy,Sauer, Daryl R.,Djuric, Stevan W.
, p. 4823 - 4826 (2007/10/03)
Benzoxazoles or benzimidazoles can be rapidly and efficiently synthesized from a variety of carboxylic acids with 2-aminophenols or 1,2-phenylenediamines in one simple step, respectively. The use of commercially available PS-PPh3 resin combined with microwave heating delivered a variety of benzoxazoles and benzimidazoles in high yields and purities.
Regioselective preparation of 5-amino- and 6-amino-1,3-benzoxazole-4,7- diones from symmetrical diaminophenol and aminoresorcinol
Bréhu, Laetitia,Fernandes, Anne-Cécile,Lavergne, Olivier
, p. 1437 - 1440 (2007/10/03)
Regioisomeric 5-amino- and 6-amino- 1,3-benzoxazole-4,7-diones were prepared from 2,6-diamino-4-methoxyphenol and 2-amino-5-methoxyresorcinol, respectively. These symmetrical precursors have the property to be antisymmetrical to each other with respect to
