Several 2-diethylaminoethyl thioesters of substituted benzothiohydroximic acids (1a-j) have been synthesised and assigned a Z-configuration on the basis of IR and PMR spectral data. The compounds have been evaluated in vitro with respect of their ability to reactivate tetraethyl pyrophosphate inhibited cholinesterase. The S--4-methylbenzothiohydroximate hydrochloride has shown signigicant reactivation activity.
