PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a novel oxetane compound that has a high refractive index and a heat resistance, and a process for producing the same; and a curable composition containing the compound and a cured product thereof. SOLUTION: The novel oxetane compound of the present invention is represented by the following formula (1). (In the formula: Ar1 and Ar2 are arene ring; Z1 and Z2 are fused polycyclic arene ring; R1a and R1b as well as R2a and R2b are substituent; R3a and R3b are linear or branched alkylene group; R4a and R4b are hydrogen atom or substituent; and k1 and k2, m1 and m2, and n1 and n2 represent an integer of 0 or more.).
