Metal Complexes of Biologically Important Ligands, LI. - Reactions of α-Amino Acids with Hexachloropalladate(IV). Stabilization of 1-Pyrroline at Palladium(II)
Wagner, Barbara,Taubald, Ute,Beck, Wolfgang
, p. 1031 - 1034 (2007/10/02)
Hexachloropalladate(IV) reacts with an excess of α-amino acids under reduction of the metal to give palladium(II) chelate complexes PdL2 (1) (L = anion of L-Val, L-Leu, L-Phe, L-Glu, L-Gln, DL-indoline-2-carboxylic acid).Chloro-bridged complexes LPd(μ-Cl)2PdL (2) are obtained from 2- and L-Asp, L-Asn, and L-thioproline, respectively.With L-Met, L-Cys, L-LeuOMe, and L-PheOMe Pd(II) complexes 3-5 are also isolated.L-Pro is dehydrogenated and decarboxylated by 2- to yield the Pd(II) complex 6 with 1-pyrroline-2-carboxylate and 1-pyrroline as ligands, L-Cys-Cys and L-Ala yield Pd(IV) complexes 8, 9. - Keywords: Hexachloropalladate(IV); α-Amino acids; 1-Pyrroline and 1-pyrroline-2-carboxylate as ligands
Dichloropalladium(II) Complexes with α-Amino Acids, α-Amino Acid Esters, Dipeptides, and Dipeptide Esters
Taubald, Ute,Nagel, Ulrich,Beck, Wolfgang
, p. 1003 - 1012 (2007/10/02)
A series of trans-dichloropalladium(II) complexes Cl2PdL2 (L = α-amino acid, α-amino acid ester, dipeptide, dipeptide esters) and cis-Cl2Pd(histidine) has been prepared and spectroscopically characterized. The X-ray structure of trans Cl2Pd(GlyOEt)2 (3b) has been determined.
