DNA-based hydrolytic kinetic resolution of epoxides
Dijk, Ewold W.,Feringa, Ben L.,Roelfes, Gerard
experimental part, p. 2374 - 2377 (2009/04/11)
DNA-bound copper(II) complexes serve as catalysts for the hydrolytic kinetic resolution of 2-pyridyloxiranes in water. Selectivity factors of up to 2.7 were achieved, indicating a chirality transfer of DNA to epoxides via a coordinated metal ion.
Reduction by a Model of NAD(P)H. 28. Reduction of an α-Diketone in the Presence of Zinc Ion
Ohno, Atsuyoshi,Yasui, Shinro,Oka, Shinzaburo
, p. 3244 - 3247 (2007/10/02)
Reduction of 1-phenyl-2-(2-pyridil)-1,2-ethanedione with 1-benzyl-1,4-dihydronicotinamide in acetonitrile in the presence of zinc perchlorate has been studied. The α-diketone coordinates onto zinc ion through its pyridine-ring nitrogen and benzene-side car
