The acylation of styrene, isobutylene, vinylcyclopropane, and methylenecyclobutane with acetyl fluoroborate in the presence of acetonitrile takes place as the conjugate addition of the acetyl cation and acetonitrile to the double bond of the olefin.Depending on the temperature, it leads to the corresponding N-acetylamino ketones or substituted 6-fluoro-5,6-dihydro-1,3-oxazines.
