Diverse reactivity in a rhodium(III)-catalyzed oxidative coupling of N-allyl arenesulfonamides with alkynes
Wang, Dongqi,Wang, Fen,Song, Guoyong,Li, Xingwei
supporting information, p. 12348 - 12352 (2013/02/23)
Olefinic CiH activation of N-allyl sulfonamides in the presence of [{RhCpCl2}2] (Cp=Me5C5) enabled their oxidative coupling with alkynes to generate 1,2-dihydropyridines, pyridines, and cyclopentenones (see scheme; Ts=p-toluenesulfonyl). The type of highly substituted product formed was controlled by the substitution of the allyl group and the reaction conditions. Copyright
Missing cyclization pathways and new rearrangements unveiled in the gold(I) and platinum(II)-catalyzed cyclization of 1,6-enynes
Ferrer, Catalina,Raducan, Mihai,Nevado, Cristina,Claverie, Christelle K.,Echavarren, Antonio M.
, p. 6306 - 6316 (2008/02/05)
Cyclopropyl metal carbenes formed in the 6-endo-dig cyclization may evolve to form seven-membered ring intermediates. This has been achieved for the first time by using highly electrophilic platinum(II) and gold(I) complexes. Gold(I) also triggers a remar
