1,4-Benzenedicarboxylic acid, 2-[(2-carboxyphenyl)amino]-, also known as the drug cariprazine, is a potent and selective dopamine D3/D2 receptor partial agonist with partial agonist activity at the serotonin 5-HT1A receptor. Cariprazine is approved for the treatment of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder in adults. It is also being investigated for the treatment of major depressive disorder and as an adjunctive treatment for the management of negative symptoms in schizophrenia.
