PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a convenient and inexpensive production method for a triaryltriazine compound useful as a synthetic intermediate of a charge transport material for use in an organic electroluminescent element. SOLUTION: The present invention provides a method for producing a triaryltriazine compound including the reaction between a 2-phenyl-4,6-dichlorotriazine compound having different two kinds of aromatic groups, and a specific aryl Grignard reagent.
