Usage

General Description

PICADEX is a chemical compound containing permethrin, isopropyl alcohol, and piperonyl butoxide. Permethrin is a synthetic insecticide and acaricide that is used to control a wide range of pests including mosquitoes, flies, and ticks. Isopropyl alcohol is a common household disinfectant that is also used in PICADEX to help dissolve and disperse the active ingredients. Piperonyl butoxide is a synergist that enhances the effectiveness of permethrin by inhibiting the enzymes that allow insects to detoxify and eliminate the insecticide. PICADEX is commonly used as a mosquito repellent and insecticide to protect against insect-borne diseases such as malaria and Zika virus.
