Mayr, Andreas,McDermott, Gregory A.,Dorries, Alison M.
, p. 608 - 610 (1985)
Stable carbyne complexes of the type trans-X(CO)2L2M≡CR (M = Cr, Mo, W; R = C6H5, CH3; X = Cl, Br, CF3C(O)O, L2 = 2 pyridine, tetramethylethylenediamine) are prepared in a single synthesis step by reaction of the respective acyl complexes [NMe4] [(CO)5MC(O)R] at low temperatures with COCl2, C2O2Cl2, CIC(O)OCCl3, C2O2Br2, or (CF3CO)2O and subsequent addition of the nitrogenous ligands at warmer temperatures.
Formation and characterization of stable alkylidyne(alkene)tungsten complexes
Mayr, Andreas,Dorries, Alison M.,Rheingold, Arnold L.,Geib, Steven J.
, p. 964 - 973 (2008/10/08)
Reaction of the alkylidyne complexes [W(CPh)Cl(CO)2(Py)2], [Kat][W(CR)Cl2(CO)2(py)], and [W-(CPh)Cl(CO)2(tmeda)] with maleic anhydride and fumaronitrile results in substitution of carbon monoxide and
Synthesis and substitution reactions of tris- and tetrakis(trimethyl phosphite)-substituted carbyne complexes of chromium, molybdenum, and tungsten
Mayr, Andreas,Dorries, Alison M.,McDermott, Gregory A.,Van Engen, Donna
, p. 1504 - 1506 (2008/10/08)
Methods for the synthesis of X(CO)[P-(OMe)3]3M≡CPh (M = Cr, X = Br; M = Mo, W, X = Cl) and Cl[P(OMe3)]4M≡CPh (M = Mo, W) starting from the acyl complexes [NMe4] [(CO)5M-C(O)Ph] are described. Substitution of two or all four trimethyl phosphite ligands in Cl[P(OMe)3]4W=CPh by bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane is demonstrated. The crystal structure of Cl[P-(OMe)3]4Mo≡CPh is reported.
