CLOPROSTENOL Chemical Properties
Cloprostenol(40665-92-7), a synthetic prostaglandin analogue of F2α, exists as white amporphous powder. The sodium salt of cloprostenol(40665-92-7) is soluble in water, ethanol and methanol, insoluble in acetone.

CLOPROSTENOL Uses
Cloprostenol(40665-92-7) is mainly used for functional and morphological regression of the corpus luteum (luteolysis) in cattles and horses followed by return to oestrus and normal ovulation.
CLOPROSTENOL Safety Profile
Stimulates smooth muscle contractions. irritating to the mucous membranes and upper respiratory tract. May be harmful by inhalation, ingestion, or skin absorption. Cloprostenol(40665-92-7) has the potential to induce premature labor or abortion. Experimental reproductive effects. When heated to decomposition it emits toxic fumes of Cl−.
