Uses of Antimony pentoxide: It is used as a flame retardant in ABS and other plastics, a flocculant in the production of titanium dioxide, and sometimes be used in the production of glass, paint and adhesives. What's more, it is used as an ion-exchange resin for a number if cations in acidic solution including Na+ (especially for their selective retentions). It is also used as a polymerization and oxidation catalyst. In addition, it is used for determination of manganese in tissue.
