CODEN: USXXAM. CLASS: IC: C08F004-24. NCL: 526096000. APPLICATION: US 75-633507 19 Nov 1975. DOCUMENT TYPE: Patent CA Section: 35 (Synthetic High Polymers) Catalysts for producing polyethylene (I) [9002-88-4] with increased melt index were prepd. by reacting chromium and titanium compds. on a silica support, and heat-activating the product in an inert or reducing atm. followed by partial oxidn. in an O-contg. gas. Thus, 8 g 2% CrO3 [1333-82-0] on silica was dried 1 h at 173.degree.C and treated with 2.1 mL titanium tetraisopropoxide [546-68-9] in a fluidized bed under N, activated at 700.degree.C in a gas mixt. contg. 7% CO and 93% N (by vol.) for 4.75 h, the temp. reduced to 550.degree.C, purged 30 min with N and treated 15 min in air at 550.degree.C. The catalyst was used to polymerize ethylene in isobutane at 221.degree.F and a total pressure of 550 psig giving I with melt index at 221.degree.F of 47.8 at a productivity of 2227 g/g catalyst.
- Production of a milky white opaque coating on medical instruments made from the alloys V95 and D16T
- Production of a milky white opaque coating on medical instruments made from the alloys V95 and D16T. Sorokina, L. A.; Faizullin, F. F.; Ermakova, V. E.; Borisova, I. V.Some commonly used reagents like 10043-35-3 and 12616-84-1 are used in this experiment. (USSR). Zh. Prikl. Khim. (Leningrad), 57(2), 427-9 (Russian) 1984. CODEN: ZPKHAB. ISSN: 0044-4618. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 72 (Electrochemistry) The effect was studied of the concn. of CrO3 [1333-82-0] in the title bath and the conditions of the process on the physicochem. properties of the milky white opaque film formed on the Al alloys D16T [12616-84-1] and V95 [12627-49-5], from which dental instruments are prepd. The high corrosion resistance, thickness and quality of milky white opaque films on alloy V95 compared to such films on the alloy D16T, as well as the possibility of a wide variation of process parameters in applying the films, allows one to recommend V95 for prepg. medical instruments using a bath contg.: CrO3 50, H3BO3 3, and SO42- 0.15 g/L at 48 ± 2 V, temp. 41 ± 2, for 50 ± 5 min. Multiple sterilizations of the dental instruments thus prepd. showed no change in the quality or external appearance of the films. .
