Acta, 196(2), 237-46 (English) 1992. CODEN: THACAS. ISSN: 0040-6031. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 69 (Thermodynamics, Thermochemistry, and Thermal Properties) Section cross-reference(s): 73, 78 The dehydration and thermal decompn. of NaClO4.H2O was investigated using a home-made simultaneous AE-DTA app. A sensor with a resonant frequency of 140 kHz, 500 kHz, 1 MHz or 1.5 MHz was used for detecting acoustic emission signals. A wide-band sensor was used for monitoring the power spectra of the signals. Irresp. of the type of reaction holder or the kind of sample, powd. NaClO4. 7791-07-3 is the cas registry number of certain chemical which is used as reagents here.H2O samples give low- and high-temp. AE peaks in the region of 80-310°C and 450-580°C, resp. The high-temp. AE peak consists of six peaks, a-f. Four peaks, b-e, are assocd. with the decompn. of NaClO4, whereas peaks a and f are due to the melting of NaClO4 and the solidification of molten product NaCl, resp. The influence of the sample mass and the resonant frequency of the sensor on the low- and high-temp. AE peaks is examd. The power spectra of the signals emitted in peaks a-f are shown to have their major frequency distribution in a range 80-400 kHz. .

Uppsala, Uppsala, Swed.). Z. Naturforsch., A, 32A(2), 134-9 (English) 1977. CODEN: ZENAAU. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 73 (Spectra by Absorption, Emission, Reflection, or Magnetic Resonance, and Other Optical Properties) Section cross-reference(s): 65 The quadrupole splittings in the D NMR spectrum from single crystals of NaClO4.D2O, were measured at 25 and -55 .degree.. At room temperature, the 180.degree. flip frequency of the D2O mols. is large compared to the difference between the splittings for the 2 D. The av. quadrupole coupling const. (e2qQ/h) and asymmetry parameter .eta. are 134.1(4) kHz and 0. 7791-07-3 and 62530-62-5 are also in the experiment.621(5), resp. At -55 .degree., the elec. field gradient tensors for each of the 2 D were obsd. corresponding to slowly flipping water mols., and e2qQ/h and .eta. for the 2 D are 231.5(6) and 226.7(6) kHz and 0.196(4) and 0.195(5), resp. The results indicate that the H positions in NaClO4.H2O are dynamically disordered. .
