Uses of 2,4-Dimethoxyphenylboronic acid: it can be used to produce 4-(2,4-dimethoxy-phenyl)-chromen-2-one with 4-chloro-chromen-2-one at heating. This reaction will need reagent aq. Na2CO3, catalyst Pd(PPh3)4 and solvent benzene, ethanol with reaction time of 22 hours. The yield is about 88%.
