Acetopromazine Standards and Recommendations

DOT Classification:  3; Label: Flammable Liquid

Acetopromazine Specification

Acetopromazine (CAS NO.61-00-7) is an orange yellow oily liquid. Boiling point is 220-240 ℃ (66.5Pa),its maleate yellow crystal, melting point is 135-136 ℃, soluble in water, 0.1% of the aqueous solution pH is 5.2, no foul and bitter taste,  flammable, thermal decomposition would release toxic fumes of nitrogen oxides and sulfur oxides,it should be stored in low temperature, ventilation, drying environmental conditions, separated with food and raw materials, besides water, carbon oxides and oxidation of toxic carbon dioxide, dry powder, sand, water mist fire extinguishing agent can be used if emergency.
Its use is similar with chlorpromazine , but stable activity is weaker than chlorpromazine , poorer treatment outcomes. Used for sedation, anti-psychotic, antiemetic, analgesic and anti-convulsive and so on. And analgesics, hypnotics, local anesthetics such as in combination can strengthen its role. Be connection with pethidine, promethazine combination agent for the artificial hibernation.
