Preparation of additive package for gear lubricants and determination of tribological properties
Akin, Mustafa,Tekin, Nalan
, p. 175 - 180 (2016)
In this study an extreme pressure and anti-corrosion additive package for gear oils has been created. In this context three different organic molecules were synthesized. Methylene-bis (dibutyldithiocarbamate), Sulfured oleic acid and o,o-Dialkyldithio Phosphate. Mass spectrums and Elemental analyses were carried out for these three molecules. For each molecule 4-ball weld points (WP), 4-ball Wear Scar Diameter (WSD), Copper corrosion (CC) and salt spray tests (SS) were carried out. Antioxidant properties of synthesized molecules were determined. According to the test results eight different additive packages were prepared and WP, WSD, CC and SS tests were applied to each package to determine a suitable package content. The highest yield was obtained in the five and six additive package with 250, 300 kg weld point and 0.41, 0.53 mm scar diameter respectively. For all additive packages the extreme pressure and corrosion resistance properties of gear oil increase by increasing the percentage of Methylene-bis (dibutyldithiocarbamate). o,o-Dialkyldithio Phosphate showed the highest antioxidant activity and it has been obtained bets corrosion protection with Sulfured oleic acid.

Paragraph 0046; 0047; 0048; 0049; 0050; 0051; 0052; 0053, (2018/04/01)
The invention provides a preparation method for dialkyl dithiocarbamate and an anti-wear and rust-proof composite agent. The preparation method for the dialkyl dithiocarbamate comprises the followingsteps: step 1, performing a reaction on an alkali metal hydroxide, a secondary amine, dichloromethane and carbon disulfide, performing extraction on a reaction product through a solvent, and performing separation to obtain an organic phase; step 2, mixing the organic phase obtained in the step 1 and a water soluble acid solution; and step 3, washing a mixed liquid obtained in the step 2 by using water until the mixed liquid is neutral, and collecting the product. The dialkyl dithiocarbamate prepared by the method has excellent storage stability and compatibility.
Safe production method for low-chroma methylene bis(dialkyldithioformamide)
-
Paragraph 0026, (2016/12/16)
The invention relates to a safe production method for low-chroma methylene bis(dialkyldithioformamide). The safe production method includes the following steps: (1) adding dropwise secondary alkyl amine to a mixed solution of carbon disulfide and an alkaline solution with the temperature maintained to be 0-20 DEG C, and then increasing the temperature to 40-65 DEG C after the secondary alkyl amine is all added, and continuously performing the reaction for 1-10 h; (2) adding dropwise dichloromethane to a methylene bis(dibutyldithiocarbamate) solution at 40-60 DEG C, and increasing the temperature to 50-90 DEG C after the dichloromethane is all added, and performing the reaction for 2-10 h; and (3) performing liquid separation, adding a decoloring agent for decolorization, and performing water washing and distillation to obtain a product. In the method, with protection of nitrogen gas, material feeding method is changed, so that carbon disulfide, which is high in danger grade, is unnecessary to add dropwise, so that the method is greatly improved in production stability and safety yield. By means of addition of the decoloring agent for decolorization, the safe production method is improved in product purity, reduces the ATM chroma of the product to lower than 1.0, and greatly improves product quality.
PROCESS FOR PREPARING METHYLENE BIS-(DIALKYLAMINO-DITHIOFORMATE) IN ONE STEP
-
Paragraph 0052, (2015/01/06)
A process for preparing methylene bis-(dialkylamino-dithioformate) in one step includes: simultaneously feeding all or part of four raw materials: dialkylamine, an aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide, dichloromethane and carbon disulfide through a constant-flow pump into a continuous flow reactor; performing the reactions in the continuous flow reactor under a temperature of 10 to 100° C. and with a residence time of 10 to 100 s; simply separating of the obtained reaction products to give the final product. The process synthesizes the product in one step by using the continuous flow reactor. The rapid mass transfer and heat transfer in the continuous flow reactor promote the main reaction, reduce side reactions, improve the product color, and shorten the operation time. Moreover, the yield is relatively high and the quality of the final product meets the requirements.

, p. 155 - 158 (2007/10/02)
The preparation of some bis(N,N-dialkylthiocarbamoylthio)methanes, mainly published in the patent literature, is described. The method is based on the reaction of sodium N,N-dialkyldithiocarbamates in water with dichloromethane catalyzed by poly(ethylene glycol) 1,500.The yields are 50-80percent.Key words: Thioanions; dichloromethane; phase transfer catalyst; IR spectra.
