Nickel-Catalyzed C-F/N-H Annulation of Aromatic Amides with Alkynes: Activation of C-F Bonds under Mild Reaction Conditions
Bai, Ruopeng,Chatani, Naoto,Lan, Yu,Liu, Song,Nohira, Itsuki
supporting information, p. 17306 - 17311 (2020/11/13)
The Ni-catalyzed reaction of ortho-fluoro-substituted aromatic amides with alkynes results in C-F/N-H annulation to give 1(2H)-isoquinolinones. A key to the success of the reaction is the use of KOtBu or even weak base, such as Cs2CO3. The reaction proceeds in the absence of a ligand and under mild reaction conditions (40-60 °C). DFT calculations suggest that the pathway for this Ni-catalyzed C-F/N-H annulation involves N-H deprotonation, oxidative addition of a C-F bond, migratory insertion of an alkyne, and reductive elimination to form 1(2H)-isoquinolinone derivatives.

supporting information, (2019/11/02)
The KOH-promoted chemodivergent benzannulation of ortho-fluorobenzamides with 2-propyn-1-ol can afford either 1,4-benzoxazepin-5(4H)-ones or 1,3-benzoxazin-4(4H)-ones in good yields with high selectivity, depending greatly upon the use of solvents. In the
Cp?CoIII-Catalyzed syn-Selective C-H Hydroarylation of Alkynes Using Benzamides: An Approach Toward Highly Conjugated Organic Frameworks
Bera, Sourav Sekhar,Debbarma, Suvankar,Ghosh, Avick Kumar,Chand, Santanu,Maji, Modhu Sudan
, p. 420 - 430 (2017/04/26)
Hydroarylation of internal alkynes by cost-effective CoIII-catalysis, directed by N-tert-butyl amides, is achieved to avail mono- or dihydroarylated amide products selectively in an atom and step economic way. Several important functional groups were tolerated under the reaction conditions, and syn-hydroarylation products were exclusively isolated. Notably, a 4-fold C-H hydroarylation provided a highly conjugated organic framework in one step. Kinetic study with extensive deuterium labeling experiments were performed to support the proposed mechanism.
Mechanochemical ritter reaction: A rapid approach to functionalized amides at room temperature
Dokli, Irena,Gredi?ak, Matija
supporting information, p. 2727 - 2732 (2015/04/27)
A fast and efficient mechanochemical Ritter reaction between alcohols and nitriles under mild conditions is demonstrated. The reaction proceeds rapidly at room temperature in a solvent-free or low-solvent environment by using a Br?nsted acid catalyst. Its general application has been verified through a substrate screening comprising a wide range of functionalized nitriles as well as secondary and tertiary alcohols. Gentle Ritter: A fast and efficient mechanochemical Ritter reaction under mild conditions is described. The reaction proceeds rapidly at room temperature in a solvent-free or low-solvent environment by using sulfuric acid as catalyst.
Synthesis of phosphoramidates: A facile approach based on the C-N bond formation via Ir-catalyzed direct C-H amidation
Kim, Hyunwoo,Park, Juhyeon,Kim, Jeung Gon,Chang, Sukbok
supporting information, p. 5466 - 5469 (2015/01/09)
A new synthetic route to phosphoramidates by intermolecular C-H amidation is presented. Substrates with assorted directing groups were activated by an iridium-based catalyst system and reacted with a number of phosphoryl azides, executing efficient phosphoramidate synthesis via C-N bond formations. A new and efficient method for the synthesis of amides via palladium-catalyzed C-C coupling of aryl halides with isocyanides is reported, by which a series of amides were formed from readily available starting materials under mild conditions. This transformation could extend its use to the synthesis of natural products and significant pharmaceuticals.(Figure Presented)
