An extended release analgesic for controlling pain comprised of an opioid or non-opioid analgesic drug ionically bound to hyaluronic acid, poly-γ-glutamic acid or other ionic polymers, and injected into a body either subcutaneously, intra-muscularly or intraperitoneally, utilizing counter-ions of different valences to control the rate of release into the body.

Particles which are surface coated with hyaluronan or one of the derivatives thereof and the use of same as biological vectors for active substances
The invention relates to particles comprising a core based on at least one biodegradable organo-soluble polymer. The inventive particles are characterised in that at least part of the surface thereof is coated with at least one hyaluronan or one of the derivatives thereof, said hyaluronan being a water-soluble, amphiphilic hyaluronan of which the carboxylic functions are in part transformed in order to form hydrophobic groups.
