GSK-3 inhibitors

Glycogen synthase kinase-3 (GSK-3) inhibitors are compounds that target and inhibit the activity of the GSK-3 enzyme, a serine/threonine kinase involved in multiple cellular processes. GSK-3 is known to regulate various signaling pathways, including those involved in glycogen metabolism, cell proliferation, apoptosis, and gene transcription. Inhibiting GSK-3 can lead to modulation of these pathways, impacting cell survival, neuronal development, and immune response. GSK-3 inhibitors have attracted significant interest in biomedical research due to their potential therapeutic applications in treating conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, bipolar disorder, diabetes, and cancer.
