The IUPAC name of Copper(II) carbonate basic is dicopper carbonate dihydroxide. With the CAS registry number 12069-69-1, it is also named as (Carbonato(2-))dihydroxydicopper. The classification codes are Agricultural Chemical; Fungicide, bactericide, wood preservative; Molluscicide. It is fine green powder which is insoluble in cold water and alcohol, soluble in acid forming the corresponding copper, soluble in cyanide, ammonia, ammonium salt and alkali metal carbonate solution. Additionally, this chemical should be stored in the ventilate, low-temperature and dry place.

2Cu(NO3)2+4NaHCO3→CuCO3·Cu(OH)2+4NaNO3+3CO2↑+H2O

Uses of Copper(II) carbonate basic: It is used in the fireworks, pesticides, paint, animal feed, fungicides, anti-corrosion and other industries. And it is also used in the manufacturing of copper compounds. In addition, this chemical can be used as analysis reagents and pesticides.
