Treatment of diene-Mo(CO)2Cp hexafluorophosphates 1 and 3 with enolates derived from optically pure β-sulfoximinyl esters (6) followed by desulfonylation of the initial adducts, leads to the monoester derivatives 7 and 8 with high optical purity.
