A new triterpenoid saponin, 3-O-<α-L-arabinopyranosyl(1->2)-β-D-quinovopyranosyl>-quinovic acid-27-O-<β-D-glucopyranosyl>ester, along with two known compounds, 3-O-<β-D-glucopyranosyl>-β-sitosterol and erythrodiol-3-caffeate have been isolated from Zygophyllum propinquum and identified on the basis of spectroscopic and chemical evidence.
