Complexes of the type 2>A (R = Cl, F, H, CH3 or CH3O; A = ClO4^- or B(C6H5)4^-) have been prepared and their reactions with halogens, methyl iodide, chlorotrimethylsilane, carbon monoxide and hydrogen have been studied.The catalytic activity of the complexes in the hydrogenation of mono- and diolefins depends upon the basicity of the phosphine present.
