treated and untreated with compounds 4a–e in vivo were
harvested and nuclear protein extracts were prepared.
For Western blots, 20 lg of the protein per lane was sep-
arated on 10% sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS)–polyacryl-
amide gels, transferred to nitrocellulose membranes, and
reacted with the desired antibody. The proteins were
detected by the secondary antibody conjugated to alka-
line phosphatase and developed with substrate BCIP-
NBT.
