The enzymatic hydrolysis of racemic methyl (Z)- and (E)-3-arylsulphinylpropenoates by several microbial lipases and α-chymotrypsin (α-CHT) was studied.High enantioselectivity values (up to 99percent) were obtained using (Z)-methyl esters.
