By reversed phase HPLC'-ester L7', previously isolated among several macrocyclic lathyrol derivatives from seeds of Euphorbia lathyris, was resolved into two compounds, L7a and L7b.Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic analysis and transesterification reactions as 15,17-di-O-acetyl-3-O-cinnamoyl-17-dydroxyjolkinol and 5,15,17-tri-O-acetyl-3-O-benzoyl-17-hydroxyisolathyrol, respectively.Key Word Index -- Euphorbia lathyris; Euphorbiaceae; lathyrane; diterpene esters; 17-hydroxyjolkinol; 17-hydroxyisolathyrol.
