Oximes, p-nitrophenylhydrazones, 4-phenylsemicarbazones and semicarbazones are converted to their corresponding carbonyl compounds in good yields using methylammonium chlorochromate adsorbed on silica gel(MCC/SiO₂) under mild and non-aqueous conditions.
