Chlororhodium(III) complexes catalyze the oxidation of oct-1-ene by t-BuOOH in R¹R²CHOH, to yield products of dioxygen oxidation: i.e. the methyl ketone resulting from olefin oxidation, the acetal or ketone formed by solvent cooxidation, and isomerized olefins.
