A new angular dihydropyranocoumarin, named qianhucoumarin I was isolated from the root of Peucedanum praeruptorum. By spectral analysis and chemical evidence, the structure was elucidated as 3'(S)-acetoxy-4'(S)-tigloylilxy- 3',4'-dihydrosesetin, and the absolute configurations were established by chemical correlation with known compounds.
