Epoxides are inthe major products of the catalytic oxidation of alkenes (cyclohexene, styrene, oct-1-ene, and methyl oleate) with dioxygen using the complexes Mn(1-nqo)_n and Mn(2-nqo)_n as catalysts (n=2 or 3, 1- and 2-nqoH = 1,2-naphthoquinone 1- and 2-oxime).
