Preparation: this chemical can be prepared by 1,2-Dinitro-benzene. This reaction will need solvent hexane. The reaction time is 20 min. The yield is about 90%.

Uses of Piperidine,1-(2-nitrophenyl)-: it can be used to produce 1-(2-Nitrophenyl)-piperidine N-oxide. It will need reagent 30 percent aq. H₂O₂ and solvent formic acid. The yield is about 70%.
