Technology Process of Ir2(SPh)2(COD)2

There total 2 articles about Ir2(SPh)2(COD)2 which guide to synthetic route it. The literature collected by LookChem mainly comes from the sharing of users and the free literature resources found by Internet computing technology. We keep the original model of the professional version of literature to make it easier and faster for users to retrieve and use. At the same time, we analyze and calculate the most feasible synthesis route with the highest yield for your reference as below:

synthetic route:
Guidance literature:
In dichloromethane; byproducts: MeOH; Ir2(OMe)2(COD)2 was dissolved in dichloromethane, and PhSH was added with stirring (10 min).; Evapn. to dryness. The resulting oil was dissolved in CH2Cl2 and chromd. on silica gel in hexane. Elution with CH2Cl2 yielded a yellow band, which after evapn. to dryness and further crystn. from CH2Cl2-hexane gave crystals.;
Guidance literature:
In dichloromethane; byproducts: HCl; Diphenyl disulfide was added to a soln. of Ir2Cl2(COD)2 in dichloromethane. The soln. was stirred for 1 h.; The soln. was concd.. It was chromd. (silica gel, CH2Cl2). A yellow and a red fraction were collected. The red one was concd. and layered with hexane. Crystals were collected after 2-3 d. Elem.anal.;
Guidance literature:
In acetone; addn. of a soln. of (Rh(tfbb)(Me2CO)x)(BF4) in acetone (prepd. from ((Rh(μ-OMe)(tfbb))2) and HBF4 in Et2O) to a suspn. of ((Ir(SPh)(cod))2) in acetone under N2 at room temp.; pumping off the solvent, dissolving the residue in CH2Cl2, addn. of Et2O, filtration of the solid, washing (Et2O), drying (vac.); elem. anal.;
