It is a film coalescing aid for polyvinyl acetate latex. Further, it stimulates the release of prostaglandin E(2), an arachidonic acid metabolite, in human epidermal keratinocytes. In addition to this, it serves as an ingredient in ink removers and spot removers. 2-Butoxyethyl Acetate is used in preparation of anti-aging coating with wear resistance, waterproof and acid and alkali resistance.
