Propachlor Uses

  2-Chlor-N-isopropyl-N-phenylacetamid (1918-16-7) is used for rice, cotton, corn, peanuts, sugar cane, rapeseed, beans crops. Control in annual grass weeds and some broadleaf weeds such as barnyard grass, Digitaria sanguinalis, Setaria viridis, wild oats, amaranth, quinoa, horse teeth Amaranthus, fescue and so on.

Propachlor Production

 Aniline and 2 - chloro-propane at 130 ~ 140 °C, 1MPa pressure response for 4h,the system was N-isopropyl-aniline; down to 95 °C, pressure relief and then a gradual drop of chlorine chloride at 100 °C reaction for 3h, the system was propachlor.
