Sulfuric acid fuming Specification

The Sulfuric acid, fuming is an organic compound with the formula H2O7S2. The IUPAC name of this chemical is sulfuric acid; sulfur trioxide. With the CAS registry number 8014-95-7, it is also named as Oleum iodisum. The product's categories are Refined & Fuming Sulfuric Acid(Oleum); Fuming Sulfuric Acid. Besides, it should be stored in a closed and dry place. It mainly used as a sulfonating agent, which is widely used in the manufacture of dyes, explosives, nitrocellulose and drugs.

Preparation: this chemical is produced in the contact process, where sulfur is oxidized to sulfur trioxide which is subsequently dissolved in concentrated sulfuric acid. Sulfuric acid itself is regenerated by dilution of part of the oleum.
