Homo-Coupling

Homo-coupling refers to the reaction where two identical ynamide molecules are coupled together to form a dimer. In this case, tosylynamides with the same or similar substituents undergo a coupling reaction. This can be accomplished by the activation of the ynamide triple bond, followed by its reaction with another ynamide. The use of transition metal catalysts, such as palladium or nickel, is common for this type of reaction.
