Chemical Baike

Sulfation

Dissolve the isolated product in an appropriate solvent (e.g., dichloromethane). Add a sulfating agent (e.g., sulfur trioxide or sulfuric acid) to the solution to sulfonate the product. This step will introduce a chiral sulfonyl group to one enantiomer, making it separable from the other.
