2-Isopropyl-6-methyl-4-hydroxypyrimidine (2814-20-2) is used as rganophosphorus pesticide diazinon, pharmaceutical intermediates.
Production
Its preparation is obtained by the different isobutyraldehyde nitrile with methanol and hydrogen chloride reaction, made imine ether hydrochloride. Reaction equation is as follows:
By the imine ether hydrochloride with ammonia to produce iso-Spd, and then with ethyl acetoacetate in the presence of sodium hydroxide, forming the ring 2 - isopropyl -4 - methyl -6 - hydroxypyrimidine .
