  Benzeneethanamine,2,5-dimethoxy- can be prepared by 2,5-dimethoxy-b-nitro-styrene . The reaction needs the reagents of LiAlH4 and diethyl ether under the temperature of 170 ℃. Benzeneethanamine,2,5-dimethoxy- can be used to produce other chemicals. For example, it reacts with (4-methoxy-phenyl)-acetic acid to give N-[2-(2,5-dimethoxy-phenyl)-ethyl]-2-(4-methoxy-phenyl)-acetamide using the solvents of toluene and light petroleum . The yield is about 88.2 %.
