1,2-Difluorotetrachloroethane (CAS NO.76-12-0) is used as a refrigerant, a solvent extractant, and in dry cleaning.Also used to produce cattle liver fluke treatment of insect repellent. With Freon 112 as raw material obtained methoxy halothane,it is a new type of inhalation anesthetic agents.
Hexachloroethane react with hydrogen fluoride in the presence of antimony pentachloride catalyst.Trifluoro-trichloroethane are formed by alkaline cleaning, washing, fractionation, purification with Freon 112 as a byproduct.
