The invention relates to the technical field of chemical synthesis, and concretely discloses a synthesis method of 4-bromo-2-chloro-6-methoxypyridine, according to the method, 4-bromo-2-chloro-6-methoxypyridine is used as a starting raw material, under the action of a catalyst, through methoxy substitution, and a 4-amino-2-chloro-6-methoxypyridine key intermediate with high yield is obtained, andthen diazotization bromination is carried out to obtain the target product 4-bromo-2-chloro-6-methoxypyridine. The 4-bromine-2-chloro-6-methoxypyridine is an important intermediate for drug synthesis,but the synthetic route of 4-bromine-2-chloro-6-methoxypyridine, especially the synthetic route suitable for commercial mass production, is not reported. The synthetic route of the compound is provided for the first time, the method is particularly suitable for commercial mass production, and the 4-bromine-2-chloro-6-methoxypyridine is prepared with high yield and high purity.
