Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 108644-83-3 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,0,8,6,4 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 8 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 108644-83:
(8*1)+(7*0)+(6*8)+(5*6)+(4*4)+(3*4)+(2*8)+(1*3)=133
133 % 10 = 3
So 108644-83-3 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Decarboxylative Borylation of Stabilized and Activated Carbon Radicals

Li, Xiaojuan,Ni, Shengyang,Pan, Yi,Wang, Yi,Zhang, Qiang,Zhang, Weigang

supporting information, p. 21875 - 21879 (2020/10/02)

Redox-active esters (RAEs) as active radical precursors have been extensively studied for C?B bond formations. However, the analogous transformations of stabilized radicals from the corresponding acid precursors remain challenging owing to the strong preference towards single-electron oxidation to the stable carbocations. This work describes a general strategy for rapid access to various aliphatic and aromatic boronic esters by mild photoinduced decarboxylative borylation. Both aryl and alkyl radicals could be generated from the leaving group-assisted N-hydroxybenzimidoyl chloride esters, even α-CF3 substituted substrates could be activated for further elaboration.

FLUOROALKYLATING AGENT

-

Paragraph 1341-1342, (2018/01/11)

Problem to be Solved It is intended to provide an industrially preferable fluoroalkylating agent and use thereof. Solution The present invention provides a fluoroalkylating agent represented by the general formula (1) wherein R1 is a C1 to C8 fluoroalkyl group; R2 and R3 are each independently a C1 to C12 alkyl group or the like; Y1 to Y4 are each independently a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, or the like; and X? is a monovalent anion. A compound of the general formula (3): R4—S—R1 having an introduced C1 to C8 fluoroalkyl group is easily obtained by reacting a compound of the general formula (2): R4—S—Z wherein R4 is a hydrocarbon group or the like; and Z is a leaving group, with the compound of the general formula (1).

Palladium-catalyzed Heck-type reaction of secondary trifluoromethylated alkyl bromides

Fan, Tao,Meng, Wei-Dong,Zhang, Xingang

supporting information, p. 2610 - 2616 (2018/01/17)

An efficient palladium-catalyzed Heck-type reaction of secondary trifluoromethylated alkyl bromides has been developed. The reaction proceeds under mild reaction conditions with high efficiency and excellent functional group tolerance, even towards formyl

Stereoconvergent negishi arylations of racemic secondary alkyl electrophiles: Differentiating between a CF3 and an alkyl group

Liang, Yufan,Fu, Gregory C.

supporting information, p. 9523 - 9526 (2015/08/18)

In this report, we establish that a readily available nickel/bis(oxazoline) catalyst accomplishes a wide array of enantioconvergent cross-couplings of arylzinc reagents with CF3-substituted racemic secondary alkyl halides, a process that necessitates that the chiral catalyst be able to effectively distinguish between a CF3 and an alkyl group in order to provide good ee. We further demonstrate that this method can be applied without modification to the catalytic asymmetric synthesis of other families of fluorinated organic compounds.

Nickel-Catalyzed Alkyl-Alkyl Cross-Couplings of Fluorinated Secondary Electrophiles: A General Approach to the Synthesis of Compounds having a Perfluoroalkyl Substituent

Liang, Yufan,Fu, Gregory C.

, p. 9047 - 9051 (2015/08/03)

Fluorinated organic molecules are of interest in fields ranging from medicinal chemistry to polymer science. Described herein is a mild, convenient, and versatile method for the synthesis of compounds bearing a perfluoroalkyl group attached to a tertiary carbon atom by using an alkyl-alkyl cross-coupling. A nickel catalyst derived from NiCl2 glyme and a pybox ligand achieves the coupling of a wide range of fluorinated alkyl halides with alkylzinc reagents at room temperature. A broad array of functional groups is compatible with the reaction conditions, and highly selective couplings can be achieved on the basis of differing levels of fluorination. A mechanistic investigation has established that the presence of 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-1-piperidinyloxy (TEMPO) inhibits cross-coupling under these conditions and that a TEMPO-electrophile adduct can be isolated.

Nickel-Catalyzed Reductive Cross-Coupling of (Hetero)Aryl Iodides with Fluorinated Secondary Alkyl Bromides

Li, Xuefei,Jiang, Zhong-Xing,Feng, Zhang,Zhang, Xingang

, p. 5570 - 5573 (2015/12/17)

A mild and efficient nickel-catalyzed reductive cross-coupling between fluorinated secondary alkyl bromides and (hetero)aryl iodides is described. The use of FeBr2 as an additive successfully overcomes the hydrodebromination and β-fluorine elim

Synthesis and hydrogenation of (E)-γ-aryl-γ-morpholino-α-trifluoromethylated allyl alcohols through the reaction of trifluoroacetaldehyde ethyl hemiacetal with enamines

Funabiki, Kazumasa,Murase, Yoshihiro,Furuno, Yudai,Kubota, Yasuhiro,Ebihara, Masahiro,Matsui, Masaki

experimental part, p. 3283 - 3289 (2010/06/21)

Treatment of trifluoroacetaldehyde ethyl hemiacetal with enamines, derived from acetophenone derivatives, at room temperature gave (E)-1,1,1-trifluoro-4-morpholino-4-aryl-but-3-en-2-ols, which are intermediates for preparation of the β-trifluoromethylated aldol products, 4,4,4-trifluoro-3-hydroxy-1-aryl-butan-1-ones. The structure of the intermediate (E)-1,1,1-trifluoro-4-morpholino-4-(4-nitrophenyl)-but-3-en-2-ols could be assigned by 1H, 13C NMR, IR, and X-ray crystallography. Furthermore, hydrogenation and reductive deamination of the intermediate (E)-1,1,1-trifluoro-4-morpholino-4-aryl-but-3-en-2-ols with hydrogen in the presence of a catalytic amount (10 mol %) of palladium on carbon in trifluoroethanol proceeded smoothly at room temperature to give 1,1,1-trifluoro-4-aryl-2-butanols in good to excellent yields.

An unprecedented reductive nucleophilic trifluoromethylation of aldehydes by using phenyl trifluoromethyl sulfone is reported. Mercury(II) chloride efficiently activates magnesium metal to induce the desulfonylative trifluoromethylation process. The new r

Unusual reactions of Grignard reagents toward fluoroalkylated esters

Yamazaki, Takashi,Terajima, Tsukasa,Kawasaki-Taskasuka, Tomoko

, p. 2419 - 2424 (2008/09/18)

Fluorine-containing esters were demonstrated to be convenient substrates for construction of the corresponding ketones by low temperature reaction with Grignard reagents followed by warming up to 0 °C, while heating the mixture up to 80 °C readily promoted the reduction of the ketones obtained by the generated magnesium alkoxides whose mechanism was speculated as Meerwein-Ponndorf-Verley type reduction by computational technique.
