supporting information, p. 15847 - 15851 (2018/11/23)
A regioselective, nickel-catalyzed photoredox allylation of secondary, benzyl, and α-alkoxy radical precursors is disclosed. Through this manifold, a variety of linear allylic alcohols and allylated monosaccharides are accessible in high yields under mild reaction conditions. Quantum mechanical calculations [DFT and DLPNO-CCSD(T)] support the mechanistic hypothesis of a Ni0 to NiII oxidative addition pathway followed by radical addition and inner-sphere allylation.
Allylation of nitrosobenzene with pinacol allylboronates. A regioselective complement to peroxide oxidation

supporting information; experimental part, p. 3796 - 3799 (2010/10/21)
Addition of nitrosobenzene to pinacol allylboronates leads to oxidation of the organoboron with concomitant rearrangement of the substrate alkene. This reaction appears to proceed by allylboration of the nitroso group in analogy to carbonyl and imine allylation reactions. Remarkably, the N-O bond is cleaved during the reaction such that simple alcohols are the final reaction product.
A stereoselective synthesis of the dihydroxyethylene dipeptide isostere, A-82768
Krysan, Damian J.,Haight, Anthony R.,Menzia, Jerome A.,Welch, Noel
, p. 6163 - 6172 (2007/10/02)
A stereocontrolled synthesis of the dihydroxyethylene dipeptide isostere, A-82768, 1 via an erythro-selective addition of a Grignard reagent to a cis α,β-epoxy aldehyde is described. The resulting erythro-epoxy alcohol was converted to the desired 3-amino

Polypeptides and derivatives thereof containing nor-statine and nor-cyclostatine are useful for inhibiting the angiotensinogen-cleaving action of the enzyme renin.
NICKEL(II)-CATALYZED ALKYLATION OF 2-METHYL-1,3-DIOXEP-4-ENE BY GRIGNARD REAGENTS: AN EFFICIENT AND SELECTIVE ROUTE TO ALLYLIC ALCOHOLS
Menicagli, Rita,Malanga, Corrado,Finato, Barbara,Lardicci, Luciano
, p. 69 - 70 (2007/10/02)
Allylic alcohols are formed, in good yields, through the regiocontrolled Cl2Nidppe-catalyzed alkylation of 2-methyl-1,3-dioxep-4-ene by Grignard reagents .Highly pure Z alcohols arise when secondary and tertiary aliphatic Grignards are used.
