Provided are a novel method for producing an isoxazoline compound represented by formula (8): [wherein R1 represents a C1-C12 alkyl group optionally having one or more halogen atoms, a C3-C12 cycloalkyl group optionally having one or more halogen atoms or a C1-C12 alkoxy group optionally having one or more halogen atoms, R2 represents a C1-C6 alkyl group optionally having one or more halogen atoms or a halogen atom, R3 represents a halogen atom or a hydrogen atom, X represents NH or NCH3, and m represents an integer of 0 to 5 (when m is an integer of 2 to 5, R2s may be different from one another)] and an intermediate for the production of the isoxazoline compound.
