Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 121809-01-6 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,2,1,8,0 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 121809-01:
(8*1)+(7*2)+(6*1)+(5*8)+(4*0)+(3*9)+(2*0)+(1*1)=96
96 % 10 = 6
So 121809-01-6 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

C2-Symmetric 2,2′-Bipyridine-α,α′-1-adamantyl-diol Ligand: Bulky Iron Complexes in Asymmetric Catalysis

Lauzon, Samuel,Ollevier, Thierry,Schouwey, Lionel

supporting information, p. 1116 - 1120 (2022/02/10)

The synthesis of a chiral 2,2′-bipyridine-α,α′-1-adamantyl-diol ligand was achieved starting from commercially available materials. The bulky ligand was synthesized in three steps in 40% overall yield with stereoselectivities of 98% de and >99.5% ee for the S,S enantiomer. The absolute configuration of and structural insights into a heptacoordinated 2,2′-bipyridine-α,α′-1-Ad-diol/FeII chiral complex were obtained from single-crystal diffraction analyses. The newly synthesized ligand was used in iron-catalyzed asymmetric Mukaiyama aldol, thia-Michael, and Diels-Alder reactions.

Reaction of diol 4 with Ti(O i-Pr)4 followed by SiCl4 results in formation of the Ti (IV) complex 5 which is an exceptionally effective catalyst for enantioselective Diels-Alder reactions. The origin of the high enantioselectivities

Catalytic enantioselective synthesis of a key intermediate for the synthesis of prostanoids

Corey,Imai,Pikul

, p. 7517 - 7520 (2007/10/02)

A route has been demonstrated for the enantioselective synthesis of prostanoids from achiral starting materials by the use of chiral catalysts of the molecular robot class.
