Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 137374-28-8 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,3,7,3,7 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 2 and 8 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 137374-28:
(8*1)+(7*3)+(6*7)+(5*3)+(4*7)+(3*4)+(2*2)+(1*8)=138
138 % 10 = 8
So 137374-28-8 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Visible-Light-Mediated Oxidative Amidation of Aldehydes by Using Magnetic CdS Quantum Dots as a Photocatalyst

Xu, Ling,Zhang, Shuai-Zheng,Li, Wei,Zhang, Zhan-Hui

, p. 5483 - 5491 (2021/03/01)

A magnetic CdS quantum dot (Fe3O4/polydopamine (PDA)/CdS) was synthesized through a facile and convenient method from inexpensive starting materials. Characterization of the prepared catalyst was performed by means of FTIR spectrosco

Amidation of unactivated ester derivatives mediated by trifluoroethanol

McPherson, Christopher G.,Caldwell, Nicola,Jamieson, Craig,Simpson, Iain,Watson, Allan J. B.

, p. 3507 - 3518 (2017/04/26)

A catalytic amidation protocol mediated by 2,2,2-trifluoroethanol has been developed, facilitating the condensation of unactivated esters and amines, furnishing both secondary and tertiary amides. The complete scope and limitations of the method are described, along with modified conditions for challenging substrates such as acyclic secondary amines and chiral esters with retention of chiral integrity.

Radical-Induced Metal and Solvent-Free Cross-Coupling Using TBAI-TBHP: Oxidative Amidation of Aldehydes and Alcohols with N-Chloramines via C-H Activation

Achar, Tapas Kumar,Mal, Prasenjit

, p. 666 - 672 (2015/08/19)

A solvent-free cross-coupling method for oxidative amidation of aldehydes and alcohols via a metal-free radial pathway has been demonstrated. The proposed methodology uses the TBAI-TBHP combination which efficiently induces metal-free C-H activation of aldehydes under neat conditions at 50 °C or ball-milling conditions at room temperature.
